It is real time as far as I am aware. Game starts at the time of storm initiation and lasts until a bit after the last tornado dissipates. The time of storm initiation depends on the scenario, so some may start early in the day or late in the day, it depends.

They can look like that depending on the lighting and precipitation. IRL looking at the same tornado from two different angles it's possible to have it contrast very poorly and very well depending on where you are at that moment

Tornado visuals are up on the top priority post EA release. You can see the foundation, now it will be built on.

I can't see why it couldn't be added, I just hope they put in a vehicle that can survive 250 mph wedges. Of course, said vehicle would have to be so prohibitedly expensive that you'd have to grind every day for 3 months straight to get it

It would depend. They licensed the other vehicles specifically, so it'd be down to whomever currently owns the TIVs or owns the intellectual property of it perhaps.

Yeah this is my concern. Unless you can generate random scenarios aswell or build your own..

This might be possible to some degree in future updates. I believe that they talked about this a little in a podcast. Apparently the simulation system is hard to implement directly on an individual PC because it virtually requires a super computer.

The devs stated that every chase will be like a new experience there’s a system that prevents you from repeating the same scenario

not when those scenarios are retired and replaced with new ones on a consistent basis. I have played quite a few scenarios in testing and i didn't have them memorized hell I missed half of the tornadoes. Sure it was the same "scenario" but you can chase it different each time and get different results.

This game hasn’t released into early access yet. It is a BETA and not. 1.0 release. If you are new to this 1.0 will be the release version of the game. This comes after early access. Early access is designed for people that want to opt in early and be a part of the development.

@@jfavignano I get that, but a $35 price tag and releasing it in the current state is not a great look for OUTBRK. I am sure those who aren't as deep into the wx community probably won't mind the visuals, but doesn't change the fact that its below what OUTBRK promised in 2020. At the end of the day, Early Access is a public release and if you put out a product below what was expected, esp given it was Kickstarter, its gonna be hard to recover the image of the game in the long run.

@@NaderRaiders no this is how the early access model works. $35 is acceptable if you want to opt in early and help fund the games progress. I don't have a problem with the EA model personally but some people have some real hang ups. If you don't want to be a part of EA it is best to wait until the game is released into a polished 1.0 state (official release) watch some reviews and then make your purchase. I expected the visuals you see here because the development process has been extremely transparent. They share their trello, do dev streams, screenshots, and trailers of in game footage. I think it is more or less people expecting a AAA title out of this BETA because they have zero clue how game development works.

@@jfavignano People were expecting visuals that were shown in 2020 and 2021, and what it out now is significantly worse. The real problem is that the visuals drop off a cliff at a given height probably as a result of using a WRF sim. It seems that storms in env with low LCL's have an elevated look, which would make no sense. And because of this, when the tornado model is put in after the sim, it looks completely out of place bc the storm looks non-tornadic itself. They might be able to eventually turn OUTBRK into a respectable game, but it does not make this version of the game ok.
